As you are most likely aware, on Tuesday evening a 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti — its strongest in more than 200 years.
Two aftershocks of 5.9 and 5.5 magnitude came minutes later. With much of Haiti’s population already living in poverty, many homes and buildings easily collapsed, including hospitals, schools and government buildings. Communications have been completely disrupted, making it difficult to get a full picture of the devastation, but several sources report widespread destruction and panic.
During the terrible aftermath of Haiti’s natural disaster, we are reaching out to offer help and hope. If you would like to be a part of the relief being provided by FallsPost.com / HiT Center Ministries, please consider the following options:
- Pray for the people affected. Please pray for our staff, too.
- Participate in a special offering designated to Haiti. Donate toward relief efforts. We will make sure the funds are put to use as soon as is feasible for the the areas affected.
