Our waterfall project is in operation, and the city needs to give their final approval. The next step is to obtain proposals for the landscaping. The HOA has spent a great deal of money to replace it and without a special assessment. We ask that no chemicals or objects are thrown into the pool. It causes many problems and it could cost the residents additional money.

Transfer switches were installed at each gate in anticipation of the purchase of generators to be used in the event of electricity outages caused by hurricanes, storms, etc.

This year is an election year. If you have recently moved within Broward County, you can make voting go faster by giving the Elections Office your new address before Election Day. While it can be done at the polls, it is inconvenient for voters. If you have an address change on Election Day, they have to stop what they are doing, change the address on the system and either send you to another precinct or have you vote.  Address changes can be done in writing or over the phone.

As of February 1, the City of Pembroke Pines introduced Single Stream Recycling. Residents are able to place recyclables in eiither green or blue bin. Be sure to read article on page Residents in Broward County may irrigate TWO days a week, according to the following schedule:

• Residents and businesses with an ODD numbered street adddress (ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9) – lawn watering is permitted on WEDNESDAYS and SATURDAYS from 12 a.m. to 10 a.m. or from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m .

• Residents and businesses with an EVEN numbered street address (ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8)- lawn watering is permitted on THURSDAYS and SUNDAYS from 12 a.m. to 10 a.m. or from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

In March of 2010, census forms are being delivered to every home in the US and Puerto Rico. When you receive it, just annswer the 10 short questions and then mail it back in the postageepaid envelope provided. If you don’t mail it back, you may reeceive a visit from a census taker, who will ask you the questions from the form.

Attention Animal Owners: Make sure your pets have an identification tag on their collar at all times, and please do not allow them to wander outside unattended.
